WHAT YOU’LL DO
Our Summer Staffers tackle the distractions behind the scenes so campers can continue to keep their minds set on Christ.
Activities Facilitation
From helping out at the ropes course to lifeguarding and all the activities in between, Summer Staffers play an essential part in ensuring that free time runs smoothly.
Food Service
You’ll help prepare and serve meals in the kitchen, make super sweet snow cones and milkshakes in the Sugar Shack, and maybe whip up a latte or two at the coffee bar!
Housekeeping
Each of our Summer Staffers help clean in some way. From pulling trash to changing paper towels to cleaning each of the cabins, everyone gets involved with the housekeeping process.

What are the responsibilities of a Summer Staffer?
Summer Staffers have a variety of responsibilities, like serving meals, cleaning, serving sweet treats in the Sugar Shack, lifeguarding, helping our with various recreational activities, and so much more!
What requirements must I meet to join the team?
We are looking for young adults that are at least high school graduates and have:
An active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
A willingness to get their hands dirty and seek the needs of others before themselves
An eagerness to serve in whatever capacity needed
Is this a paid gig?
While we will never turn down help from volunteers, Summer Staffers are paid WEEKLY. Staffers can chose to pocket this money, or they can opt to use it as a scholarship at the university they are attending. Select universities (such as DBU, ETBU, etc.) will match the scholarship we offer, so they will essentially be putting double the money towards their education!
Will I have a place to stay if I work at Camp Chaparral this summer?
Yes! As a member of the team, we will provide you with free room and board on our grounds in addition to your weekly paycheck.
Do I have to work the entire summer?
Nope! Summer Staffers have the option of choosing to serve for the entire summer (8-10 weeks), just the month of June, or just the month of July. However, all Staffers will be required to attend a training week at the end of May.
